Kingston, Jamaica: The 2020 National Festival of the Performing Arts Competition, a staple on the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission’s annual calendar, will see it’s Parish Auditions round beginning this Tuesday, January 14.

Beginning this Thursday, January 16, the Jamaica Culinary Arts Competition will host a series of free developmental workshops across all thirteen parishes, which will highlight the 2020 competition’s specially selected locally-produced food item, the sweet potato.

The deadline for entry for the 2020 National Festival of the Performing Arts is fast approaching, according to Director of Marketing and Public Relations at the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC), Andrew Clunis.

The award winning pieces of the Jamaica Visual Arts Competition’s very first Youth Exhibition are currently on display at the Jamaica Conference Centre, 14 – 20 Port Royal Street, Kingston.

The Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) will jump-start the 2020 National Festival of the Performing Arts with a series of extensive and insightful workshops across the island slated for November and December 2019.

The Jamaica Cultural Development Commission’s (JCDC) Creative Writing Competition will launch its newest initiative, an island-wide Writer’s Circle, this Monday, November 4 at the St. Elizabeth Parish library in St. Elizabeth, beginning at 10:00 am.
