The Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC), an agency of the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport is pleased to announce the results from the Miss Jamaica Festival Queen Grand Coronation, held on Thursday, August 1at the National Arena:

Following the recent crowning of all 13 parish queens, the Miss Jamaica Festival Queen Competition is now gearing up for National Coronation which is set for Thursday, August 1, at the National Arena.

 

Kingston, Jamaica: Raldene ‘Loaded Eagle’ Dyer’ is the 2019 Jamaica Festival Song Winner. 

His winning song, Big Up Jamaica, will become the soundtrack for Jamaica’s 57th Anniversary of Independence, which is being celebrated under the theme One Nation, One People.

 

Kingston Jamaica: The National Arena grounds will be transformed into the Jamaica 57 Independence Festival Village as it has been designated the cultural hub for the 2019 Independence celebratory activities.

Kingston, Jamaica: Tickets for the July 27 Jamaica Festival Song Grand Final are now available at Tastee Locations in the Corporate area.

The Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre, the official home of Jamaica Festival, will be the venue for the upcoming Grand Final of the 2019 Jamaica Festival Song Competition on Saturday, July 27.

Jamaica’s 57th anniversary of Independence is to be celebrated under the theme “One Nation, One People.”

This has been disclosed by Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, the Honourable Olivia Grange.

The 2019 Jamaica Festival Song finalists will roll into the southern parishes of St. Elizabeth and St. Catherine this weekend, as they continue their month-long, island-wide, free, performance road tour, aimed at bringing the impending Independence spirit to the masses.

Kingston, Jamaica: The “Sweet 16” Grand Final of the 2019 Jamaica Children’s Gospel Song Competition has received a new date and venue and will be hosted this Sunday, June 9 at Church on the Rock, 7 Clifton Drive, Kingston 8, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
