Emancipation Vigil

Across the length and breath of the island, on the eve of Emancipation Day, vigils will be held in commemoration of the Emancipation of emancipation from slavery. The JCDC working in collaboration with the respective Ministers’ Fraternity in each parish, will stage a parish vigil in each parish capital.

Culinary Arts Competition – Western Region Championship

Regional Finals of the Culinary Arts Competition (Westmoreland, Hanover, St. James and Trelawny)

The showcase will feature live cooking demonstrations, cooking competitions, celebrity cook-off and mixology competitions, vegetable and fruit carvings displays and a showcase of Jamaican produces cooked in various ways in addition to other exciting culinary displays.
