This Civic Ceremony is staged by the St. Ann’s Parish Council with support from the JCDC.

Venue: Seville Heritage Park, St. Ann's Bay

This is an annual event that is staged by the National Heritage Trust with assistance from the JCDC, at the historic Seville Heritage Park in St. Ann’s Bay. It features displays and performances by the various traditional folk groups as well as popular artistes. All this is done to the back drop of traditional foods and crafts. The Emancipation proclamation is read at midnight and the event continues into the early hours of August 1 – Emancipation Day. This is a paid event
