This year marks the first staging of the Youth Edition of the Jamaica Visual Arts Competition and Exhibition.  Art pieces will be judged in categories namely: Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Collage, Textiles & Fibre Arts, Photography and Sculpture/Assemblage. 

 

The competition and exhibition serve as launching pads for the careers of a number of Jamaica's artists, enrich the community of local practitioners with new talent and provide artists with access to the local and international public.

 

Public Voting for the Viewers’ Choice Prize will open on the JCDC’s Facebook page on November 24, 2019 and close on January 31, 2020. The artwork with the most likes will receive a Tablet and a trophy.
