Statement from Chairman/Executive Director

A former employee of the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission is now before the court on fraud related charges.

The charges relate to issues found during the course of internal checks and balances.  At the direction of the Board of Commissioners, the matter was reported to the Police.  The former employee was subsequently arrested and charged.

The matter was brought before the Corporate Area Parish Court on July 16, 2021.

The Commission will continue to cooperate with the investigation.
