JCDC Celebrates International Administrative Professionals Day

The Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) celebrated the immeasurable contribution provided by its administrative staff by highlighting them in a small handing-over ceremony on International Administrative Professionals Day on Wednesday, April 21.

In addition to being openly acknowledged for their faithful support, all of the Commission’s administrative professionals also received a gift voucher, in a gesture of appreciation led by the HRMD&A Department.

The Research, Documentation and Information (RDI) Unit also took the opportunity to award the Records Officer of the Year and the Admin Professional of the Year awards to the most deserving staff members.

The Records Officer of the Year award was given to the Records Officer who received the highest score on the last annual Records and Information Management Audit. Ms. Michelle Jackson of the Westmoreland Office was named winner of this prominent award and was awarded with a trophy.

The Admin Professional of the Year however was selected via staff nomination and staff vote. While the competition for this highly-respected award was stiff, it was Ms. Nevileen Williamson of the Marketing and Public Relations Department who was declared the winner, and walked away with this prestigious title.

A glowing testimonial of Ms. Williamson’s exceptional service given anonymously by a staff member read:

“Miss Williamson has always shown great patience when dealing with internal customers. She always follows through on requests, her communication is always clear, and she is the most dependable administrator I have ever known.”
