Kingston, Jamaica: Participants at the recently held Jamaica Festival Song 2019 Eastern Regional Workshop expressed their excitement at being able to take part in the informative and ‘eye opening’ free session, which severed as an introduction to the local music industry.

 

The Jamaica Gospel Song Competition has selected the 2019 top ten finalists, who will compete at the competition’s grand final during the national Independence celebrations in August.

The Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) is currently on an island-wide search for empowered young women who are intelligent, culturally-aware and poised and are seeking a platform to make their contributions to nation building.

Set for Ash Wednesday, March 6, the Jamaica Gospel Song Competition’s free semi-final concert promises patrons a holy and memorable show.

The Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) will be hosting two, free regional workshops for the 2019 Jamaica Festival Song Competition, in Kingston and St. James on Tuesday, March 5, and Thursday, March 7, respectively.

 

 Amateur Night on the Mound, the Roots, Rock and Reggae based talent competition series held amidst the Reggae Month 2019 celebrations, saw scores of patrons turn out for the Grand Final on Tuesday, February 26 at the Victoria Pier, Kingston Waterfront.
