Kingston, Jamaica – Students across Jamaica are being encouraged to sharpen their pens and raise their voices in the 8th Annual Jamaica Customer Service Competition Through Poetry, staged under the theme “Mission Possible: Powering Possibilities, One Experience at a Time.” The competition, presented by the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) in partnership with the Jamaica Customer Service Association (JaCSA), invites participants from the Primary, Secondary/High, and Tertiary levels to showcase their creativity while celebrating the role of customer service in nation-building.

Originally slated to close on Friday, September 19, the deadline for entries has now been extended to Tuesday, September 23, 2025, giving more students the chance to compete for cash prizes of $50,000 at the tertiary level, $30,000 at the secondary level, and $20,000 at the primary level.

Mrs. Avory Crooks-Campbell, JCDC Music Development Specialist and Executive Member of JaCSA, expressed excitement about this year’s staging and urged students to get involved. “This is such a thrilling opportunity for our young people to let their voices be heard. Poetry has the power to move hearts and change minds, and through this competition, students can show that great customer service is truly a mission possible. I want to encourage every budding poet to take the leap, enter, and let their words inspire Jamaica.”

Deputy Chairman of the Jamaica Customer Service Association, Mr. Richard Rowe explained why the organization continues to support the initiative. “Each year we see the positive impact of this competition, not just in the performances but in the way it helps to shape a culture of excellence and pride in service. That is why JaCSA is proud to continue our partnership with the JCDC, and we are encouraging as many students as possible to seize this opportunity to shine.”
