A celebratory gathering was held in remembrance of the 65th Birthday of the ‘Crown Price of Reggae’, Dennis Brown at his tomb at the National Hero Park in Kingston on Tuesday, February 1; a date which also marks the first day of Reggae Month.
The Honourable Olivia Grange, Minister of Culture Gender, Entertainment and Sport who hosted the gathering, commented on Brown’s immeasurable contribution to Reggae Music and also highlighted other activities that will be held throughout Reggae Month that will honour the Crown Prince’s legacy.
Those in attendance who also laid floral arrangement’s on Brown’s tomb included: the Honourable Alando Terrelonge, State Minster within the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, Jamaican members of the Twelve Tribes of Israel, Trevor “Leggo Beast” Douglas and Tommy Cowan, both of whom are members of the Jamaican Music fraternity and members and friends of the Dennis Brown family.
