The JCDC 2020 Jamaica Gospel Song winner, Treisha Williams has released Born to Save Us, her newest Christmas-themed single just in time for the holidays. A lively Reggae praise song with a Jamaican Christmas beat that reminds us about the real reason for the season, Born to Save Us is currently available for download or streaming on all major music streaming platforms.
“Jesus Christ was born to save us; He came into this world of sin. He came to rescue me, to bring me hope and joy eternally… call your neighbor, call your friends, let’s share the good news of a love that never ends” Treisha sings in her new single, which encourages persons to spread joy and cheer during this particularly trying Christmas season.
“With so much going on in the world, especially with the pandemic, I thought it was important to try and do my part to lift persons’ spirits this Christmas by reminding them about the real reason for the season,” Treisha said regarding her reason behind releasing a Christmas-themed song.
“Yes a lot is going on in the world but now is the best time for us to hold firm to our faith and give thanks for the birth of our Savior,” she continued.
A Gospel artiste on the rise, Treisha shows off her vocal versatility with Born to Save Us, both singing and deejaying about her love for Christ on the promising hit track, which was produced by renowned Reggae producer Paul ‘Katalys Crew’ Barclay.
Born to Save Us is Treisha’s third single to be released off of her upcoming album EP, and the first song with a festive theme. She states that while she is steadily working on putting together an album that reflects her love for Christ and also soothes, inspires and uplifts anyone who listens; she is also excited to release her very first Christmas song and has high hopes that it will become a holiday favourite, making the airwave and streaming rounds each season.
“My first album EP is in the works and I am beyond excited, and so grateful to all the persons who have supported me so far on my journey, especially Mr. Barclay and the JCDC team. While I can’t wait to share it with the world this summer, in the meantime I hope this Christmas song can help to unite us this season, and can continue to unite and uplift us for many more Christmases to come,” Treisha said.
