David S. Reid joined the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) as a Cultural Organizer for St. Ann in 2000, and was later transfer to St. Catherine in 2003, where he was promoted to Parish Manager, two years later. He was further promoted in 2009 to Regional Manager, Eastern with direct supervision for St. Thomas, Kingston & St. Andrew, and St. Catherine. In addition, he also served as Coordinator of the Jamaica Festival Song and The Big Stage Competitions from 2010 to 2014.
Mr. Reid is a proud graduate of the Mountain View Primary and Vauxhall Secondary Schools, the College of Arts, Science and Technology (now UTECH), and the Institute of Management & Production, (now the University College of the Caribbean).
At the latter two institutions, he pursued courses in Business Administration, Public Relations and Entertainment Management. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma with Distinction in International Events Management from Events Management Training Limited / University of London, England, and Certificate in Human Resources Management from the Management Institute for National Development (M.I.N.D)
A Justice of the Peace and a member of the Lay Magistrate for the parish of St. Catherine, David is also a Youth Mentor, Artist Manager, Manager of Vauxhall High School Football Programme and part time Lecturer in Events Management at the International University College (IUC).
