Mr. Stephen Davidson is the director of marketing and public relations at the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC), an agency of the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport. He has overall responsibility for the promotion of the diverse range of programmes in the entertainment arts, literary arts, culinary and performing arts, as well as the annual Jamaica independence celebrations across the island.
Prior to joining JCDC, Mr. Davidson had portfolio responsibility for communications, public relations and corporate affairs at The Victoria Mutual Building Society (VMBS) and its strategic business units in the Victoria Mutual Group.
Mr. Davidson holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Marketing from the Mona School of Business and Management, University of the West Indies and Bachelor of Science degree, Magna Cum Laude, in Marketing and Applied Management Analysis with a minor in Communications from Le Moyne College in New York.
He is a member of Alpha Sigma Nu, the National Jesuit Honour Society, and Delta Mu Delta, National Honour Society for Business Administration. His awards include the Frank and Martha Ahrens Memorial Medal in Business, 1st Runner-up recipient of the VMBS President’s Award for Most Outstanding Employee and the Fr. Matteo Ricci Award for Achievement in Diversity.
He is an avid track and field fan and a lover of music. His life mantra is to make a positive impact on the lives that he comes in contact with.
